Cathy joined De Novo Ventures as Chief Financial Officer in December 2005. Cathy has over ten years of experience in the private equity industry. Her responsibilities have included all financial and administrative functions, investor relations, portfolio company support and fund raising. Prior to De Novo, Cathy was Controller at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers for more than five years, managing an investment portfolio of over $3 billion in assets across 25 funds. Before Kleiner Perkins, Cathy was Vice President of Finance at Ancora Capital and Management, where she helped complete the successful acquisition of several companies and integrated the Finance departments. Prior to Ancora, Cathy was the Controller for Mayfield Fund.
Cathy has also held various financial positions in operating companies, both public and private. She has worked in the entertainment, security and cosmetics industries. She began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Accounting from the University of the Pacific.
